Help with furnishing small villa

Post by Glenhayl »

I am in need of furnishing a small villa for rental purposes. Can anyone please tell me if there is a company that supply a complete villa pack?

Try Planet Sofa in Lagos. We bought a dining table and chairs from them, but I know they do complete packages.

Thank you for your reply. I will most probably be in Carvoeiro next week If anyone else knows of anywhere I would be grateful for comparisons.

If you want to furnish an entire villa cheaply, I would suggest perhaps visiting Conforama at Algarve Shopping (Guia) - they deliver and have most of their items in stock. They are also reasonably prices. They do everything from sofas, TVs, bedding/beds, tea towels, cutlery, pictures, lighting, white goods - most of what you want to be honest.

Look at these websites

www.conforama.pt as previous post mentioned. You could hire a van if you see stuff you like.

Also www.moviflor.pt this is located at Portimao Retail park and has a good all round household store beside it called de Borla, where you'd get all your cups, pictures, kitchen stuff etc.

You can price the stuff from the websites and see how it compares to the packages offered by different companies.

Someone on a previous topic similar to this said they bought all their stuff in uk and had it all shipped out. Given the poor exchange rate on the euro it might work out well.

this is all the typical high street type of stuff - if you want to try an alternative try the moveis - these are not as well laid out as the high street stores but have good stuff. 4 floors jammed full of furniture + they have loads of catalogues. They also deliver (didn't charge) and assembled furniture and hung mirrors, again no charge

One I have used before is Moveis Malheiro ... Malheiro is the 1st village on the road to Monchique from the N125. At the island turn left, then 1st right and it is on your left. Worth a look before you buy elsewhere...

If you on a budget , why not try the charity shops in CVO and Lagoa , sometime they have some great peices always worth a try.
Also by the fatacil ground where the bull ring , sunday market normally takes place , there is a shop opposite , which has a big church announcement. This shop sell s very good quality goods , some secound hand some new , but beautiful things at good prices , worth a try.
