Portimao
Am I right in thinking that the old bridge into Portimao is closed. If so, what is the best route from CVO please. Thanks

Why not try a different way to get to Portimao?
Drive to Ferragudo & park the car.
Walk to the end of the quay & find the restaurant called 'Sueste' - they have a ferry boat that will take about 12 pax across to Portimao or Praia de Rocha.
The ferry was very comfortable and reasonable - it reminded me of a floating leather sofa.
The crossing takes about 20 minutes without the hassle of parking in Portimao!!
Regards to all in CVO.
