Just got back from a terrific two weeks in CVO - After now long experience I can list the 5 Star ingredients for a good holiday in CVO:

Airline - Monarch Scheduled

Transfers - Algarve Transfers (See this site)

Resort - Rocha Brava

Car Hire - Auto Jardim (booked on Line)

Supermarket - New Modelo in Lagoa

Restaurant - Ella & Ella

Best Bar - Rascals

Glad you had a great time but out of curiosity, how much was the car hire and for what. Couldn't agree more with Rascals but only tried lunch, so far!

Best Beach - Caneiros

Best Lunch Location - Beach Restaurant at Caneiros Beach !

or Sardine Restaurants at Portimao

Mike, The car hire for 14 days for a (brand new) Asta Estate was 440 euros, including drop off and pick up from the Villa door. I have a separate annual excess insurance for the year at GBP 51 pa.
