 Has anyone stayed at this hotel that could comment on what it is like. I love the location in Carveoiro, just opposite two good restuarants and as it is so close to everything I thought it might be nice. So all comments good or bad would be most appreciated. Thankyou to all that do reply, cos I'm bound to 4get to say thanks later.

We stayed here in June and thought it was lovely. There have been some poor experiences that I have read about on here, but I personally found the staff welcoming and the room spacious and clean. The fire doors can be a bit noisy if other guests are inconsiderate though.

We didn't eat in the restaurant except for breakfast, but that was plentiful and fine. Close to all the amenities and a pleasant walk into town...

All in all I would definitely stay here again... :D

Hey Michael! Do you think some people do not know that there is a SEARCH button and secondly they do not know how to use it? Cannot believe how many repetitious questions on this forum. Would appear that someone should have a How to use the a Forum 101 course. I do not mean to shoot down Baggysallyjane because there are many like her/him on this forum. Good to see that people like you Michael are alert.

I have to apologise for my wife but she tends to have several blond moments and a very short memory. Will have to check what she puts on site before allowing her to submit any comments or questions.  Sorry for any trouble caused.

Friend stayed there recently & at first impression thought it was fine, but them found there were no tea/coffee making facilities in their room & no room service, they also thought the dining room dissapointing & didn't think much of the breakfast. Having said all that they said it was a great location & reasonably priced but should not be called a __star (whatever star it is'cos I can't remember what she said) hotel.

:o Coo my husband. Yep I had forgot I had asked about the hotel b4.. Glad I asked again though cos it seems the hotel is not as good as it looks. The prices have gone up a lot cos I have a brochure and it lists the prices. We had a brief look about when we were there in Carveoiro last week and comments from the site and people we met mainly say its not worth what they are charging now. But sorry re my repetition. Still unwinding and getting over flu from our visit.

I don't know what they are charging at the moment but Michael and I were happy to pay what they asked in June.... However we did look at the rooms before going ahead and booking and we were happy with the cleanliness and spaciousness.

Blue is right there are no tea or coffee making facilities but there is a fridge and a mini bar, with prices that weren't too bad considering it is a hotel!

I don't know what Blue's friends were expecting for breakfast, but there was bacon and eggs (fried, boiled or scrambled), ham, cheese, fruit, danish pastries, croissants, bread rolls and bread for toasting, jam, honey, yoghurts and copious tea, coffee and hot chocolate, oh and fruit juice....

Hi Baggy and Sallyjane,
Take a look at Expedia.co.uk . I booked for 1 night there a couple of weeks ago and it was £32.65 for a twin bed single room(?) . Very comfortable and the girl on reception was very helpful. Can't comment on the breakfast as I was on a liquid only diet for most of the time.

Hi SallyJane and Ello Nicole,
Not sure about the bank raid but I'll give the lottery another chance. Obviously I am still smiling as I'm back to work. No need to worry about the browns and oranges because I don't drink do I Nicole ?
So, lottery permitting I should be back at Christmas.
Oh, and tell Ian that he doesn't really want her number. She'd eat him alive ! Hope he won his golf thingy,
