Restaurants with sea view
Re: Restaurants with sea view
I would avoid Souest - I was horrified that my golden bream alone cost 28 euros and was burnt and barely edible.

There is a very good restaurant overlooking the sea at Praia De Luz. I was there two years ago but I wasn't aware of the connections of the place until afterwards when I visited the church. The significance of the place then dawned on me. A great shame as it is a stunning area and the people very friendly.

Yes James we went there a few weeks ago,if its the same one. Its next to the little church (I got goosebumps too)
called, The fort or something like. Beautiful view over the sea, fabulous restaurant and they do a very good set lunch for about 12 euros

On a visit to Luz we went to the Fotreza for coffee, still holds the record for the most expensive we have ever had.
Have never found Luz and attractive place , as you suggest could be its very sad associations.
