Squarking bird in the town
Anyone know where the squawking bird is in the town. We are up in Monte Durado and it seems to be below us close to restaurant hill. Makes an awful racket, sounds as if it is being plucked (it might be if I can find it)

Perhaps it's related to the barking dog? - animals eh!
Re: Squarking bird in the town
Don't they have a big noisy parrot at the Restaurante Casa do Pao on Rua dos Pescadores?

It may be located here :- 20 R. do Escondidinho
It seems to be a little managerie up the hill on the left. Kids love it. Ducks, geese, chickens and goats. Oh, and a cockrel.

Used to be one in the apartment block next to Chef Antonio, on the side wall.

Chef Antonio's is too far up the hill. Definitely seems to be coming from the apartment blocks around Round-up area. Still squawking at 6 pm. In fact it sometimes seems to come from 2 slightly different places - perhaps it is on the loose or, could there be 2 of them and the squawking could be a mating call!

It's a caged grey parrot in the block of flat's roughly opposite Maximes, I got a little fed up of the noise myself last month so I went to investigate one afternoon.

I think you'll find it's a Norwegian Blue. They do look alike in their summer plumage.PTBUXTON wrote:It's a caged grey parrot in the block of flat's roughly opposite Maximes, I got a little fed up of the noise myself last month so I went to investigate one afternoon.
