Can anyone advise re sale of baby food please

Post by Miss Brodie »

Looking for some info on the sale of baby food in and around Carvoeiro. I have friends who will be holidaying in the area this summer and they are wondering if they will be able to purchase SMA baby food while over there. This would save them having to take some with them. Any help with this would be appreciated.
Thanks.

Yes, it's the powder for the milk.

Thanks for the info - I'll pass it on to my friends.

◦SMA baby milks are sold as S-26 Gold 1, 2 and 3 (from Wyeth Nutrição) which are equivalent to SMA 1,2 and 3.
There doesn't appear to be an equivalent of SMA Extra Hungry.
◦SMA special milks (with their portuguese equivalents) - Wysoy (Visoy), Staydown (S-26 AR) and SMA-LF( S-26 sem lactose).

Thanks everyone. All of this information is really useful.
I'll certainly pass all of this on and tell them to either start saving or take a bigger case!
Cheers.

They could always consider doing an online UK supermarket shop and having it delievered to Direct transport. I often get Asda items sent that way and it saves a fortune when you compare with the prices in Intermarche. Its 9 euros a crate so they could order everything they would need for the baby and collect it when they arrive. Their website gives all the information.

Hi
I emailed ASDA to ask about this as couldn't see the information on their website and got no reply! Could you please advise any other details?
Thanks

The service is provided by Direct Transport see : http://www.directtransport.net/uk/shopping.php

You just do an online grocery order with either Asda or Tesco, adding the Direct transport address as delivery address as per their website. usually very straight forward and reliable.
