International Phone cards

Post by tone »

Morning Guys,

last time we were in CVO we got stung by an Indian chappie in the main drag leading into CVO for an international phone card which we managed about 2 short calls on....it cost us about 10 euros....We always take our mobiles for emergencies but like to use the phone card which have always been very good value for money when we have used them previously in Spain...Can any of you fine people advise who to purchase phone cards from and which brands please

many many thanks

Tone :D

Buy a "Monster" card from Algarve Book Cellar on Rua dos Pescadores. They cost €5 and give you about 90 minutes.

Why don't you call BT and get an international phone card, you pay local costs and it is billed to your BT phone account.

If you fly Ryanair they sell a phonecard for 10 euros (I think they also sell one for 20 euros). I bought one the last time I was flying out and if used at the public telephones it gives you 150 minutes. It can also be used when you get home for phoning abroad if you have time left on it. I think it expires 3 months after its first use. As far as I know, you can also top it up via the website before your next trip.
I found this to be the best on offer but someone else may know better......................
