No, you're quite right but I'm afraid we do have moments when we're not at all sensible. Also, we did visit the store after a very jolly meal on Gale beach and a couple of glasses of wine - not a very sensible time to go shopping, I know!

Apollonia is perfect for the expat who has to live as if at home and to hell with the cost.
It is like Waitrose with Harrods food hall prices.
It's fun if you want to have a one-off spoil yourself, or need something you cant get anyewhere else. EG....we needed some tahini paste to make hummous. Apollonia had it when non of the other supermarkets did.
To be fair....if you buy normal Portuguese groceries in Apollonia, it is the equivalent of shopping in M&S or Waitrose at home....excellent quality, at slightly higher prices than the norm.

How do I get Gaynor there Im always dragged out to Waitrose and M&S back in the UK. Sounds like a place where you dont have to mix with the unwashed ....
