Quality of steak
Quality of steak
When we were out a fortnight ago we found it hard to get a good steak. O Cantinho was not up to its usual standard and even Casa do Bife seemed off the mark.

After 2 weeks in Carveiro, I would have to agree about the steaks. I dont eat much during the day and am usually starving come 8pm. The steaks were on the small side and the plates only looked full by the volume of chips that were piled on. I had a Stone Steak in Cafe de bife, and that was the best one I had on the holiday.

Yes Karen, and I have one there called 'Tornedo 'A' Chefe'..fillet steak, wrapped in bacon and topped with cheese..served in teracotta dish surrounded by 'pot roast' potatoes,Karen Ann wrote:For the best steak in CVO, go to Columbos. Their fillet steak, I must say is the best, bar none.
recommended by Annette(its her favourite) and really enjoyed it
But then Colombos is where I dine most and enjoy most of their food.
