Pies

Post by roy4eyes »

We have just received a flyer for Garrett's Pie Shop in Praia da Rocha.

One of the few things I miss about England is good old shortcrust pastry pies - has any-one tried the pies from the aboveand if so any comments?- or do YOU know of any better?

Puff pastry lids don't have the same appeal as the real thing.

Also directions please.

If its the same place Im thinking of then I have bought some of their stuff at the International School Christmas Bazaar - pretty good as well (not cheap but worth it I think as a rare "treat" - I normally make my own pies) - sorry - dont know where the shop is though

I'm disappointed at the response to my query.

Surely - apart from iane - I can't be the only pie appreciator in the Algarve - or am I ? :o :o

P.S. iane - do you fancy paying for your next eye examination in home-made pies

I have done my best to point you in the direction of the pie shop in Silves. The main street isn't that long. What do you want, four and twenty blackbirds - special order, by negotiation
