hello, I was wondering if anyone knows if there is a decent supermarket in carvoeiro or near,I'm hiring a car so distance isnt an issue. :lol:

There are a few in town..but the main one is intermache just before you enter Carvoeiro..

Like everything anywhere this issue also seems to be one of personal taste - Intermarche has received a lot of criticism on this site over service standards and high prices.

If you have transport I would say that the Algarve Shopping at Guia (including Continente hypermarket) is as good a bet as any (It is our "local" "Mall" and you can get pretty well anything at sensible prices).

Carvoeiro is a great place but there is a lot more to the ALgarve than the resorts and wheels will give you a good opportunity to see more of it (even the "shopping experience" - a pretty new concept in the Algarve in this form).
