Icing sugar

Post by MALLYMAL » Mon Dec 15, 2008 5:49 pm

Spending Xmas in Lagos... hurrah...

Plan to take home made xmas cake with us, but decorate it in Portugal, otherwise I don't think it will survive.

Anyone know the Portuguese for ICING SUGAr (I'm guessing AZUCAR do.....)

I know I could guess, but sods law says I'd end up with a bag of caster sugar instead.

Thanks all you Delias (and Gordons).

Think the phrase you are looking for is "acucar glace" but could be wrong. Good Luck !

Em português

Açúcar de crosta de gelo
Used Babelfish to translate it. Hope this is right!

Icing sugar in Portuguese is 'Acucar em Po'.

As it is Sunday, it's full translation is "Acucar em po para cobertura de bolo. (Im looking at the box I bought so you can get it here and Custard Powder too, but I havent seen any Marzipan over here, unless anyone else has?
