Next door to me in Belgravia there is a small Patisserie staffed by a bunch of lovely Portuguese ladies, not only do they serve the best coffee in town, they do Pastel de Nada's which are the mutts nuts. Hmm - just off to get some now

 Thanks for the recipe Ellie, will give them a go.
Sam, my daughter used to have a lovely Portuguese patisserie near her work just off Tottenham Court Rd, but she now works in W14 so no where near anything like that, as she said tho' it is better for her waistline!!

Quite agree LJ, as part of my calorie controlled diet I now only go once a day instead of twice, in fact I only have to walk past the shop and I put on a couple of pounds

My source of this calorific extravagance is the coffee shop at the Bentall Centre in Kingston upon Thames

Hi LJ
Just bought the Christmas edition of The Portugal Magazine (WH Smiths)
and they have got a centre spread on Christmas Portuguese food,
including the pastry ring thing, that Ellie was talking about.
Also quite a few cocktails (but I know you won't be interested in those) :D
