Thanks for all the info about the Health Centres. Do you know if the €5 charge applies for both residents and regular visitors like us. We have the EU health cards. Never had to use them so not sure how they work.

We arrived home yesterday after a wonderful 2 weeks in Carvoeiro. Missing the sunshine already. Thanks to all the bars, restaurants and people of Carvoeiro who made our stay so relaxing and enjoyable, and a special thank you to Bob and Ida at Harrys Bar who put on the best Jubilee street party ever....

Is there a shop in Lagoa that sells TV's? We Need to replace our TV but do not have transport so would prefer to go somewhere with an easy bus journey if possible. Any recommendations would be much appreciated. We will be in Carvoeiro next week for a couple of weeks. Can't wait. JackyD

Thanks Bruce. I will let him know. He thought maybe he was being ripped off but from what you say the price was ok. I think he will stick with the pre-booked transfer in future.

My other half arrived at Faro airport at about 11.00pm last night and was charged 96 euros for the journey to Carvoeiro by taxi. This does seem a tad high for the one way trip. Usually we pre-book a transfer and it is only a few euros more than this for a return trip. Is there a higher rate for late...

Thanks. We will be back in Carvoeiro in April so hopefully all work will be completed by then.

What is happening about repairing the storm damage at Faro Airport? Has any work started yet and if so when is expected to be finished? I have not seen any news about it recently.

I hope your first meeting was a success. Hopefully I will be able to come to one of your meetings next time we are in Carvoeiro but unfortunately that is unlikely to be before April or May. JackyD
