Re: Mortgage
Although we were seeking a mortgage whilst our villa was being built (finished 2012) so may now be out of date we went to Paragon in the UK. The actual mortgage we had was through Santander.there is a branch in CVO. Initially interest was great but we suddenly noticed after a while we were paying a ...

Re: Wolf
Had another great meal less than 2 weeks ago. We had rib eye on the special. Think the main is €18 with chips and salad. Cannot recall how much hubby paid with drinks and starters. I was absolutely stuffed, even my son in law couldn't eat any more and he has hollow legs. My husband would never pay o...

Re: Holiday Lettings
Re-read what I said Licy.... I said that if the client pays Holiday lettings the booking fee, not the advertiser, the charge levied to the client on top of the rental price, in most instances is enough to deter the client from proceeding with the booking. THEREFORE....if you are wanting to let via ...

Re: Wolf
Had another fab meal at the Wolf. Staff attentive. I don't consider €18 for a huge high quality steak to be expensive, certainly be lucky to get an OK steak in Surrey for less than £20. just saying ......

Re: Holiday Lettings
I could choose to only pay 3% but do not. I had no idea they then charge the guest all that on top. Holiday Lettings is now trip advisor rentals.

Re: Holiday Lettings
Assuming a response to me, the 3% fee is charged to the advertiser not the guest.Bruce Wallis wrote:As a point of interest....
You are far better paying Holiday Lettings the annual fee, than having them charge the clients a booking fee on top.
The booking fee will put most clients off!!

Re: Removal company
You also failed to notice that I stated in an earlier post that I could not remember how to pm as it has been a very long time. The fact that you may or may not have had a conversation in Bistro is neither here nor there, the whole point is a point of principle and extremely puzzling. Not even the ...

Re: Holiday Lettings
Not come across this Widge. As you know we advertise on holiday Lettings and get lots of bookings. Not much left between now and end of October, I will keep my eye open at 2 different links. We are due to renew in a few weeks.

Re: Owner's Direct new website bad news
We have used holiday Lettings which now goes through to trip advisor since we began letting. Overall good site but not perfect. The money you charge is the money you get excluding either an annual advert charge or a fee for each booking - you choose. We did approach Affinity but the person that visi...

Re: Wolf
I have been to the Wolf many times and never had a bad meal, cold veg etc. I have never experienced any similar issues with others whilst eating in the wolf. The manager is a delight as are the staff. I last went there 2 weeks ago. I have taken friends who love it too. You don't need to have gone to...

Re: Zoning and 250m2 making existing buildings illegal
Our plot is 1100 and we were permitted 250. I am sure the 2 plots next to us also were permitted 250. One however was just over 800 plot and the other about 2500. Having said that I now hear the large plot cannot have a residential house. Many years ago it had a single storey car serving building/bu...

Re: IKEA Loule and IZI Build
Very extensive ground works are going on just off the A22 immediately opposite the turn off to the airport, on the left going from Carvoeiro. Really huge site and it looks as though they are putting in an extra slip road off the motorway slip road toward the airport. If they can finish the ground w...
