We started from Areias dos Moinhos and via a series of newly discovered paths, tracks, glades and roads we ended up in downtown Carvoeiro and were delighted to see that Hemingways w...

WALK 2 - MONDAY 25th MAY: CARVOEIRO!
There are too many of us for the walk at Ribeira das Canas so we have decided to have two walking groups on the same day. The other walk proposed will be in and around Carvoeiro, about 1.5 to 2hrs and ending up at one of the local restaurants - this may well be one of the first walks done by Carvoei...

ODIAXERE WALK: 18th MAY 2020
The first walk post lockdown was from Odiaxere and ten (the maximum allowed) ventured out. No coffees before or beers after as the local cafe was still closed but a good walk was had! Early on in the walk we met a rather irate women in a car who shouted at us that we should not be out in such a big ...

IT APPEARS WE CAN WALK AGAIN!
In the Portugal News it would appear that Julie Statham is starting her walks again, from Tues 12th May, limited numbers and away from any people (portugalwalks.com).
If this is the case who is around next week and we will sort a walk out.

Re: Winter heating
We had aircon put in a few years back in our townhouse on AdM and it is superb as a back up heater. We also have wafer radiators but they are rarely on. Log burner heats lounge & dining room. No need for fire at moment and if it gets cold we simply turn on air con. Also nice on in bedroom about ten ...
