Clube Vale de Currais

I've used these people for apartment bookings for some years but have been trying their website for a couple of days and it won't open. Their offices, as I recall, were at the top of Restaurant Hill, on the left as you leave the town. Is anyone aware of any developments there, please?

I think it is the same chap. Sounds like he has his share of problems but that's no consolation to a frightened child. Oddly enough, when I last saw him in the square in July he'd got a load of kids following him around and dancing. The more they giggled the more he liked it. Sounds like he's a bit ...

Would this be the chap with the injured arm often seen in the square in the summer, dressed in ballet pumps and doing the old kung fu moves between swigs from a bottle of beer?

Good advice, laserblazer, particularly re Tavira. However, on the question of guillotining, my own view would be to look at possibly leaving the kids with grandparents, say, or if they really are troublesome, stopping their pocket money. Your approach seems perhaps a little harsh, at least as a firs...

Thanks, both. I have been to CVO many times and have travelled around the Algarve quite a bit but previous visits tended to centre round the outdoor stuff in the day and eating and drinking in the evening. Having to find something under cover hasn't really been a feature - hope it won't be next week...

What to do when it's wet!

As the weather outlook is a bit grim, thought it might be worth asking the expert readership of excursions etc. they might recommend for those of us likely to be wading about the area over the next week or so. Forecast seems the same east and west of Carvoeiro. Any suggestions gratefully received. I...

Thanks, both. Canada, I think you might just have the edge in terms of actually answering my question but laserblazer's point is a fair one. :D

Belle Vue apartments

Would anyone who has stayed at these apartments care to venture an opinion on them - cleanliness, noise, proximity to centre? On this last point, the website seems a bit misleading, estimating the town to be between 300m and 1300m away. I think I've seen them from the road as you leave Restaurant Hi...

The Home Page offer looks fantastic value. I'll be at home at Christmas but if I want dinner in a restaurant here the packages seem to start at around £75 plus the drinks on top, and the menus don't look that inspiring either. No connection with this restaurant, just miffed that I'll be watching The...

I guess its difficult to predict at any time but we went to CVO last October and we had two mornings rain and the rest of the week sunny. Temperatures ranged from 22 to around 28 - I got sunburned. Pack your cossy (we swam in the sea every day) but take a sweater for the evenings. We had a great tim...
