Ryanair cheapies

There are cheap return flights available for December and January including some Saturdays. If you just want to pop over for a few days and can make do with a cabin bag, check in online and pay with a Visa Electron card , you can actually do it for £2 return including all taxes.

January visit

I've managed to bag a couple of Ryanair cheapies for a long weekend at the end of January. Can any of the residents tell me, will the famous almond blossom be out that early? Thanks.

Much obliged all. Ellie, I know the place you mean. Looks like a few pottery visits in OCtober. My only worry is that, having set out to buy a plaque at around fifteen quid, I suspect my life savings may now be in jeopardy.

Thank you, Lesley Jean. Will give them a go. I'd not thought of them to be honest as I guess I'd always imagined they would deal only in pretty significant pieces.

Ceramic name plaques

Some years ago we bought in Alvor a small plaque in yellow, blue and white with our family name on it, "Famalia Whatever". It's about two inches by three and sits vey nicely under the light outside our front door. We paid for the thing, left our details, and it was posted on to us. When we were over...

My family's been coming to Cvo for years now and I've never even heard a voice raised in anger, let alone seen a fight. This is a worrying situation and I hope it is nipped in the bud.

Thanks all. I'm a faz man from now on, at the risk of being regarded as a bit of a pleader. To complicate things, someone else has told me one should actually say "se faz favor"! Por favor certainly seems in wider usage in dealing with tourists.

por favor/faz favor

Can anyone tell me the distinction between these two ways of saying please? I've heard both used althoug faz (pronounced fash I think) favor I've only heard used to waiters. My stock of Portuguese phrases is increasing but I'm puzzled by this. Don't want to use faz favor if it's patronising obviously.

Thanks again all for your input. Have booked for two weeks from end of June. Bringing some friends who have never been to the Algarve and looking forward to showing them all the places we are so fond of. We usually stay in Cvo but they particularly liked the look of this place. Expect we'll spend qu...

Vitor's village ferragudo

Sorry, Ferragudo site seems to have a problem. I wonder if anyone knows this development? Specifically, the one bed holiday accomodation, rather than the more residential bit. I'm looking to book for late June but can only find artist's impressions. Basically, I want to know if it's a functioning co...

Hi. I've stayed in the Belle Vue apartments and was pretty impressed. Nice position within 5 minutes walk of the centre of town, and there are restaurants on the doorstep. We stayed in a one bed on the top (2nd) floor with great sea view. You'd get the same view from the first floor, but I think the...

Much obliged. You're right of course about the location - only time I've visited the office was via the out road - memory lapse! Still puzzled about the website.
