Re: Easyjet booking changes

It's also a nuisance that their new size for under-seat bags is different to the size that Ryanair allow. A few years back when Easyjet introduced their guaranteed cabin bag size we went out and bought new bags and then they did away with that scheme so I'm not going to rush out and buy new bags aga...

Re: Easyjet booking changes

I think it's understandable that airlines are having to consolidate, change and cancel flights and there will not be a single airline not faced with this, especially with the government rules for many countries constantly changing and differing from country to country. I have had several flights can...

Re: Faro Airport

Nobody seems interested in Passenger Locator Form - I've had 2 trips where nobody collected forms. I do believe there is a temperature check at Faro. Just after you go through the automatic doors after going through the customs area there are normally 2 people sat behind a desk in front of you looki...

Re: Carvoeiro radio

There's nothing on their website that gives a frequency so I think it's only on-line which says to me it's incorrectly named as it's not actually a radio station that you can tune in to.

Re: Which Smart TV to buy?

I agree with comments above. I have given up on smart tv's as they never seem to have all the apps you might want and they don't keep them up to date. Far better to buy a smart device that will allow you access to the full range of Android apps.

Re: August holiday in Carvoeiro

Easyjet have cancelled all future flights from Stansted to all but 4 locations and from Southend and Newcastle to all destinations with effect from 1st September. If you have any booking to or from any of those 3 airports from 1st September you need to check your bookings as I think you will find th...

Re: August holiday in Carvoeiro

We had one trip last week and are going back next week. We felt safer there than in England. Took calculated risk and relatively happy to quarantine on our return. Not worried about travel insurance but made sure we had EHIC. Restaurants and shops that ee went in were all fine. Signage and disciplin...

Make sure that you fill in the Complaints Book as well. They will always try to divert you from filling in the formal complaint. There's no reason why you cannot fill in both the book and their own form.

Re: Portuguese Bank Account

I have a UK Santander account. I was told there was no connection between Santander UK and Portugal. That is true BUT Santander Totta have a branch in London near Fenchurch Street and they are connected to the Portuguese network and can process transactions and other matters for you. I had a proble...

You say that 6.9kva is not sufficient. Are you actually having a problem? We have a 2 bed townhouse with aircon in lounge and master bedroom and all the normal appliances: dishwasher, washing machine, electric oven, extractor fan, microwave, fridge freezer, kettle, coffee machine, TV, sat box, etc. ...

Re: Winter heating

I also have a 2 bed townhouse. I used to use oil filled rads and they were fine but slow to raise the temperature when we arrived, although held it well once the place was up to temp. They are cheap and easy to buy and I would not expect them to be any more expensive to run than wafer rads as they a...

Re: Covid 19 Isolation

My understanding is also that if you travel against the Gov advice then you are not eligible for the rescue flights that Easyjet are organising for their travellers that are stranded. When I checked Easyjet a couple of days ago the only flights from Faro were to Gatwick - all other destinations had ...
