Re: Best restaurant in Benagil?

We love the Velha Pescador - wonderful view from the back terrace in the daytime and a romantic atmosphere inside in the evening. 8)

Re: name that restaurant.....

Too bad that Thai restaurant went downhill (no pun) We ate there a few years ago and it wasn't too bad. Hard to believe with the same owners etc. that it could change so drastically.

Re: Tap water

I use tap water for cooking if boiling, brushing teeth, and most importantly for Canadians - ice cubes! Use bottled for everything else.

Re: Tia Ilda

We too use the " Planalto index " not just in restaurants but also supermarkets. If you pay 12 euros for it in a restaurant and E4.90 in a supermarket this is much better value than some wines which are 2euros or under in a supermarket but can be 10-12 when you eat out. I have always paid 4.69 Euro...

There were 6 of us and the waiter asked if we wanted couvert we said yes and he suggested 2 portions between us all ,which was plenty. So 10 Euro for couvert was fine w...

Re: Nice meal with kids

There is a restaurant on site at Colina Village - it was a high end restaurant but don't know about it now that Nuno went to Primento Preta at Palm Gardens. I am sure that it would be kid friendly as most places are in and around CVO. Enjoy your stay!

My top pics would be Chrissy's in Lagoa OR Pimenta Preta (Sp!) on road to Rocha Brava at Palm Gardens Resort. Both over the top and wonderful. 8)
