There are normally no border controls, unless the Spanish police decide to park the other side of the bridge one day (quite rare but did see them once). But you need to carry your passport, as you are entering another country. In fact, you should carry your passport with you at all times as a form o...

Hmmm...it seems since they have tightened up the law regarding fiscal representation they have changed things then T.W. Interesting to know that. I know of legal reps that get their client's fiscal numbers/cards, but I was just thinking, why pay someone an exhorbitant fee when you can do it yourself...

Yes, just go along to your local Serviço das Finanças and ask for one. Take ID e.g. passport and you will complete a form and be given a paper with a number on and eventually a plastic card with this number on. Preferably, if you don't speak Portuguese, take someone who does, or at least learn the b...

Yes, best this thread ends, or it will end up like a Women's Institute forum soon with discussions on the best jam making recipes.

But for lazy people like me hoovering tiled floors is the best way to pick all the crap up. Sweeping just moves the dust about from one place to the other. However, my hoover cost €24,99 from Worten and is one of those little wheelie things. Rosy's rugs on the other hand may well be another proposit...

Surrey is cool. I love it. I did most of my growing up and schooling there. It is a beautiful county. Leith Hill, the North Downs, Boxhill...I did all my running training around there...stunning views. I also did my A-levels at Guildford and thought it was ok too. I remember the deer, which I used t...

My bear...sorry, dog might just try to eat the chameleon though. Thanks for all the tips. I think I am going down the pub now...ok, bar. I don't normally like whisky but maybe I'll give it a go, especially as I am due to visit a whisky drinking mate in Lisboa this weekend. Até logo amigos meu...

Yer, plus it also doesn't help having rice fields near here either. Oh well, the net is over the bed and if I drink enough I might not hear them either. The joys of countryside life.

Surely Lizards and Geckos could eat something marginally less irritating. :?

I now have some lovely bites on my face and that noise.

Mozzies in Carvoeiro

What is the mozzie situation like in Carvoeiro at the moment? I ask because I am plagued with them here in the outback this evening. I have killed about 6 of the little buggers in the last few minutes, while sitting here at my laptop. Aaaaaaaggggghhhhhh...

Who invented them and WHY?

I've also heard that said about the Pt. women, who are for the most part downtrodden in general life. In a car they are equally as aggressive, as it is their chance to finally be in control.

That was an interesting article, Dalcassian. I am sure Ellie will be interested too. I thought they did have wolves but maybe I had heard somewhere that they were dying out there. I will quiz Finn Pete on whether he is scared of wolves, as he is due out soon.

Have a good weekend. :D
