Another thing that I would add to the comments is that carriers like Monarch allow you to pool your baggage weight with your travelling commpanion but as of October 2010 EJ do not allow this.

Not quite to do with Carvoeiro but does anyone know if now that the Portimao Camaras has rejected the application for Meia Preia to become an official nude beach, are people still using it? My wife and I have been coming to Carvoeiro for the last 12 years and found it a very peacefull and un-crowded...
