Some of you may know Elena, she has worked in Irish Times for a few years and also had cleaning jobs in and around the Carvoeiro area, she is one of the most hard worki...

Re: " Sad " Irish Times

Hi Colin, I most certainly will, it was lovely to spend Christmas with Dad and Elena, but also sad as she should have been visiting her family, but due to her losing her job that all had to be cancelled, and as you probably know Elena is a true grafter and it is getting her really down not being abl...

Re: " Sad " Irish Times

It is very sad about Irish Times, I have just spent Xmas with my father Stuart & his partner in Messines, his partner of some years is Elena who worked in Irish Times and is now sadly along with the others out of work. If anyone on here knows Elena you will agree that she worked so hard and is despe...

Re: The Irish Times

nothing to do with the lease, he is just taking 3 months out whilst it is the quiet season, plans to travel whilst closed, shame for the staff as it's an awful time to try and find jobs to carry them through until it re-opens

Re: Irish Times

ffm, I beg to differ on your comment 'why compain?' Graham, Stuart and all the staff at Irish Times would rather a customer complain than go away feeling disappointed and spread the complaint via a comment room on the internet........ all decent establishments would rather be told.

Re: Irish Times

I too would like to know if you complained at the time? as the staff are superb there and it is renowned to be one of the best breakfasts in Carvoeiro, I can vouch for this after eating there many many times and recommending it to golfing groups of hungry men who have all been very impressed.

Re: 1st visit to Caramujeira

Hi SandyB, I am afraid i do not know of any others, I think the best have all been found, to escape the overcrowded little coves we now often drive out to Gale beach, totally different as in it's a long beach with no cliffs in sight but at least you can sunbathe without anyone else near you.

Re: 1st visit to Caramujeira

SandyB, ssssssshhhhhhhhhhhh don't tell anymore people, we have been going to this beach for 29 years, back then we had the beach to ourselves for days at a time, over the years it has become very popular and sometimes too busy in peak season, a little gem of the Algarve though.

Re: Quad bike import/usage?

I would suggest you buy one out there, my dad bought one from a shop / showroom in Messines, near Silves, good prices and a fantastic way to get around, especially on the dirt tracks down to some of the beaches.
