which is technically pedestrians only except for the cycle lane down the middle.
Google don't let a little thing like that get in their way.

Re: Cost for retiling a pool

Try the dive school people. Some of them do it in the winter.

Re: Key Cutting

+1 for Intermarche. He cut some fairly complex keys for us. One was an ornate design and he managed to match it.

Easyjet Flights from Bristol

When would you expect them to launch the Winter flights? I seem to recall it was Mid March last year.

Re: Autodromo - what's the latest situation?

It looks on Google Maps as if the link from the 125 passes underneath the A22, so I'm guessing you'd be ok.

Re: Autodromo - what's the latest situation?

There are signs to it from the 125, so presumably it can be reached without tolls. Either side of the A22 exit there are toll gantries.

Museu de Portimao

Friday, being a bit damp, we visited the museum and it was a great way to spend a couple of hours. There is an article here http://www.carvoeiro.com/Guide/Portimao%20Museum which says it all. The short film about canning has English subtitles which are amusing at times. The temporary exhibition is a...

Re: Map on EN125 - Faro to CVO

It's pretty easy but not as straight forward as suggested. As long as you keep you eyes open for the road signs it's not a problem.

Re: Rental reality check

There was a thread last week where someone wanted to rent for 3 months for £1000 including heating and bills. Re: Long Term winter lets

This isn't an immediate requirement. We are both still working, so long winter breaks are still a couple of years away at least. There's only the two of us, so we would only need a 1-bed place. Anything bigger would just require more heating. I guess that we wouldn't want to be spending much more th...

Long Term winter lets

Hopefully, we will be retiring soon and I want to get away from the UK winter. I hear people saying that you can get really good deals but I can't find any on the internet. Do you think there are owners who would welcome having a mature couple looking after and heating their property say between Nov...

Re: Xmas Day

Hi, The cost for Christmas Day lunch last year in Carvoeiro ranged from 50-65 euros per head depending on what restaurant you chose and what they offered you. If you are looking to book Christmas lunch, then our advice would be to book early as most restaurants that open are quickly booked up. Hope...
