Xmas flights - when are they usually released?

Can anyone remember approximately when the xmas flights are released please?

Have decided want to be in Carvoeiro for xmas and new year next year but no flights out yet - so wondering when I should start looking to bag an early book bargain?

thanks, and a happy new year to all :)

Given that the quid against the euro doesn't look like it's gonna bounce back any time soon does anyone with any knowledge of the Algarve economy think that the bars and restaurants will start to drop their prices or offer deals to try to keep em coming? Or are there already signs of it....(I haven'...

At the risk of being accused of getting defensive and over protective of our beloved village I do wonder whether those experiencing rowdiness have just been unlucky. In my opinion it doesn't really matter where you go there will be groups of inconsiderate people from time to time and if you are unlu...

I like the sound of this Nationwide Flex account but before I think about taking the plunge is it definitely as good as it sounds? i.e. do they set a lower exchange rate than everyone else to make up for the fact that there is no charge...so in the end you are no better off? Forgive me for being a c...

Thank you both for replying, I do appreciate you sharing your experiences.

lawyers fees for changing mortgage

Hi, I wonder if any of you property owners out there can give me the benefit of your experience please? The wife and I are considering changing our Portugese mortgage in order to get a better deal. It all seems very attractive because the new bank covers almost all of the associated costs in order t...

Been to A Fonte a good handful of times and never been disappointed. Very welcoming. Nothing too fancy but good food at good prices. Yum, I'm hungry now.... :D

If anyone wants an alternative we use GCEN. Haven't tried anyone else to be honest but rates always compare v favourably to banks. Although they won't do small 1 off transfers (I think the mimimum is £2k) they will transfer much smaller sums if it's a regular monthly payment. We just have a standing...

Glad it's not just me Tricky, although my reasons slightly different to yours... We had previously avoided V.I. as had been told it was over priced but then some friends said they had a good meal there so we gave it a try a few weeks ago. Although the food wasn't bad, it wasn't great either and on t...

I've used both the IKEA in Lisbon and the one in Seville. Lisbon is quite a bit further and you'll have to pay road tolls which, depending on the size of vehicle you take, can add a fair bit to the cost of the journey. The stores are no different, my personal view is therefore no point going to Lisb...

Colombo's

The wife and I are regular visitors to CVO but until last week had never been to Colombo's. We have tried a lot of restaurants in CVO and this ranks amongst the best in our view. The service from Pedro was superb and the quality of the food excellent Ended up going there 3 times during a 9 night sta...
