We'll be driving down from Lisbon to CVO in May. Is it worth leaving the motorway and taking a detour via Evora and the IP2 through Baja then join up with the IC1? Is there anything worth seeing on this route? As a matter of interest how much would I pay in tolls if I chose to use all motorway? If ...

It is well worth a visit if you like your classic cars. I went last year. Some beautiful and famous cars on view and some great racing..... but Goodwood it is not!

A group of us had lunch at The Smokehouse yesterday. It was excellent. Great menu, nice friendly service, quality house wines, (we tried them all red, white and pink), and very good value. For the short trip out of town, it is well worth the visit.

Oh, and the fish pie is to die for!

Pina Garden Centre in Lagoa, you can order anything from a sack to a wagon load, all different colours and sizes. May not be the cheapest, but they are very helpful.
